If you took one of every dog breed in the world and formed a pack, which dog breed is most likely to become the alpha dog?
Well see, a lot depends on the personality of the dog but if it were a matter of sheer power, and pack mentality, it would be this beast right here
Caucasian Shepherd
The basis of a pack leader comes from few factors
1) Size
2) Strength
3) Willpower
The Caucasian shepherd has all of these features, by the truckload. Its bite force isnt all too far away from that of a lion. This dog could take on more than one wolf at once, and probably win
Its primary opposition would be;
Kangal
Now, this dog doesn’t look nearly as terrifying, but it has a bite force equal to that of the previous dog I mentioned, and the kangal is full of personality too. There would be fierce competition between the two, probably until one of them died.
After these big guys, would probably be these dogs.
Rottweiler
The rottweiler, banned in many countries, this dog isn’t all too big, but has an INSANE bite force. These guys also have a habit of continuously pecking in the hierarchy, trying to get a higher position.
Tibetan Mastiff
Another powerful breed, the tibetan mastiff, likely to be 3rd, or 2nd in the ranks.

To people asking regarding pitbulls, those beasts have one hell of a bite, but the pitbulls I’ve met don’t seem to challenge hierarchy. They’re more ‘dont come in my way’ kind of dogs.
About small dogs, well, small guys like the jack Russel would definitely rule over some big dogs like the Labrador, who are too friendly, but they’d eventually bark up the wrong tree and end up in a miserable state. Yes, chihuahuas do have an extremely strong personality, and there are stories of them chasing away big dogs and bears, but that’s usually because those guys aren’t accustomed to small dogs, and really don’t want to fight. I have a German shepherd, who gets chased by small dogs like westies, but if it came to it, I know who’d win in a brawl for survival. For example, its been proven that elephants, ARE scared of mice. They are, but if it was a fight for territory and food, who would get squashed? we all know
